Hi.  And thanks for visiting my site and actually looking at this page.  I don't think I will have to say much about myself because I'm sure you get a good picture of who I am by reading my blogs.

I am a Jesus-Follower.  I say it like that because I used to call myself "Christian" and I wasn't really anything like Jesus.  But recently I decided to, in a sense, pattern my life after him.

Now, I don't believe I am supposed to change my personality or anything.  I believe our personalities are designed on purpose and should not be discarded.  I guess we could debate on what a personality is.. but anyway...

I don't have it all together.  Nor do I claim to.  I don't have all the answers. If I sound like I do, then I'm only proving the fact that I need help in communicating.

I believe what I believe because I've thought about it, studied it, lived it, and I choose to believe it.  Several years ago I did a study of world religions, from my own perspective.  Yes it was a Biblical perspective, but Jesus claimed to be "the way, the truth and the life" (John 14:6) and went on to say he "was the only way to the Father."  That is a radical statement.  And I think it deserves study and exploration.

I have looked at his life. It facinates me.  And I have taken him at his word.   I don't just believe in Jesus.  I believe Jesus.

I want to have friends who believe the same as I do, and who don't.  I think Christianity has gotten a bad rap in many circles, and not without cause.  I can't turn the tide by myself, but I can live out what I believe.  The Bible doesn't say to follow other Church-goers or other Bible-readers.  It says to follow (or imitate) Jesus.

Jesus didn't come to invent a religion.  He didn't try to start a movement.  By his own words, he came to show us the Father.  So if I want to learn about God, I look to Jesus.

Truth, by definition, must be knowable.  And I believe it is.

I could go on, but I think that's probably enough for here.
